Short films of interesting creatures and plants taken with my Canon EOS 7D and a small Sony camcorder
Amazing Flock of Starlings
Species: Common Starling - Sturnus vulgaris
Location: Otmoor, Oxfordshire, UK
Canon EOS 7D
Sigma 300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM, Sigma 10-20mm EX DG HSM
An amazing sight, these Starlings were flocking before roosting for the night. The patterns they formed were incredible and you could hear the mass of flapping wings in the distance!
1:10 onwards is where it's most impressive.

Massive Monitor Lizards
Species: Southeast Asian Water Monitor Location: Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore Canon EOS 7D

Some large Monitors going about their daily business... swimming, itching and sleeping!
Awesome Jumping Spider
Species: Jumping Spider - Telamonia dimidiata
Location: Kranji Nature Reserve, Singapore
Canon EOS 7D
Sigma 180mm f/3.5 EX APO IF HSM
A really comical spider that I found underneath a leaf. It kept running up onto the top of the leaf and watched me for a few seconds before running back underneath.
I love how Jumping spiders physically move their bodies to look in different directions.
Location: Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Singapore
Canon EOS 7D
Sigma 300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM + 2x teleconverter
This Giant Mudskipper was digging out a pool for itself in the mud. They do this by sucking up mud that needs to be moved, and then spit it out on the side!
Mouse in a War Zone!
Species: Wood Mouse - Apodemus sylvaticus
Location: My Garden, Oxfordshire, UK
Canon EOS 7D
Sigma 300mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM + 2x teleconverter
A very cute little mouse that I saw a few times in the garden eating the food we had put out for the birds.
Sensitive Plant
Species: Sensitive Plant - Mimosa pudica
Location: Bukit Batok Forest, Singapore
Canon EOS 7D
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
A very cool plant that closes up when touched! It's not really known why it does this but one theory is that potential predators wouldn't want to eat a plant if it suddenly moved!
